A Ø28mm welding table is a 3D fixturing table with a grid of Ø28mm holes at 100mm centre-to-centre, on which you clamp workpieces square and dimensionally accurate. DCT CNC-mills them from solid S690QL steel and gas-nitrides them to 800 HV. Fully compatible with Siegmund and Demmeler.

Which welding table size do you need?

Size the table to your largest workpiece plus working room around it. DCT supplies Ø28mm welding tables from 1000×1000 to 3000×2000mm. Every size has a 25 to 27mm top thickness and a scale on one long and one short edge.

Torn between two sizes? Take the larger one: clamping area you do not use costs nothing, area you lack does. In the configurator you set size and grid and watch the price and 3D model update live.

EG or DG grid: what is the difference?

EG means single-hole (one bore per position), DG means double-hole (two bores per position). DG gives up to 60% more clamping options on the same surface, which pays off on complex or angled work. For straightforward positioning, EG is enough and keeps the table more keenly priced.

Where the quality sits: S690QL steel and 800 HV

The tabletop is CNC-milled from solid S690QL, a high-strength steel with a higher tensile strength than the S355J2+N Siegmund uses. It then goes through gas nitriding to 800 HV, a thermochemical process that drives the hardness deep into the steel. The surface stays dimensionally accurate and wear-resistant, even under daily production.

Why a gas-nitrided table is lighter in colour

This is the most common misconception: a DCT table is lighter in colour than a Siegmund, and that does not mean it is less hard. Siegmund applies a BAR coating, a dark oxide layer on top of the steel. DCT uses gas nitriding: the hardness sits up to 800 HV in the steel itself. A separate coating is therefore unnecessary; the surface does not wear away or flake off.

Do Siegmund and Demmeler accessories fit a DCT table?

Yes. The Ø28mm grid is the industry standard, so it works both ways: your existing Siegmund and Demmeler tooling fits a DCT table, and DCT clamps, bolts and squares fit your Siegmund or Demmeler table. You do not have to replace anything to expand.
